Keeping 1Password up to date

You can always choose Help > Check for New Version or download the latest version from our web site (Downloads), but it’s probably easier to let 1Password do the work for you.

On the Updates tab of 1Password preferences, enable the Automatically check for updates option, and select a frequency. (When using a beta, 1Password will check for available updates when you launch the program.)

Automatic checks for updates take too long!

If your PC is “behind” a proxy server, try entering the proxy server settings on the Network tab of 1Password preferences.

If that doesn’t help, you can disable the Automatically check for updates option on the Updates tab of 1Password preferences. If you do, though, be sure to check for updates manually, so you’ll continue enjoying the benefits of the latest features.
