Creating a strong password

We recommend creating Logins through the browser extensions: visit a new web site, visit the site’s “new account” page, generate a strong password, fill in and submit the form, visit the site’s login page, fill in the username field, use the last generated password to fill the password field, submit the login form, and let 1Password create a Login that you can use from then on.

You can also trigger the Strong Password Generator directly:

In Firefox and Internet Explorer: Click the 1Password button in the browser’s toolbar, and select the Generator tab.
In Chrome: Click the “key” icon in the browser toolbar, and click the Generator icon.
In 1Password: Make sure View > Generated Passwords is enabled; then choose File > New Item > Password.
