Can’t save a Login item

There are lots of things that might prevent 1Password from automatically saving a Login item. For example, we know of no browser password manager that supports Flash-based logins, because the proprietary Flash technology is not easily integrated with browsers. For a Flash-based site, you may find a standard HTML login page as well.

Whenever you find a site for which a Login isn’t automatically saved, you can save one manually like this:

  1. Go to the site’s Login page.

  2. Type in your username and password, but don’t submit the form.

  3. In the browser’s toolbar, click the 1Password button.

  4. Click the Save Login button, fill in the details, and click the Save button.

  5. Back in the browser, you can submit the form if you want to log in, right then; the important part, though, is that the Login will be available for you to use, the next time you visit the site.
