Installing the 1Password extensions for Chrome and Safari
The availability of Chrome 16 as a stable (non-Beta) release required an update to our extension for Chrome, as the previous version of the extension would no longer work. Starting with version 1.0.9.244, 1Password for Windows includes a new extension for Chrome that’s designed to work with Chrome 16 and later versions. As a result, 1Password for Windows also includes support for Safari 5.1 and later versions.

Using the extensions for Chrome and Safari
The magnifying glass icon in the upper left corner of the pop-up window invokes the “search” feature. When Login items are listed, the ”+” icon lets you add a new Login item.
The icons down the left side let you view the list of Login items, Wallet items, Identity items, or Secure Note items. The “gear” icon displays a Tools page. The “padlock” icon locks your 1Password data.
When Login items are listed, you can click on the upper subheading to toggle it between Fill Login and Fill and Submit Login; and you can click on the lower subheading to toggle it among Open Login in Current Tab, Open Login in New Tab, and Open Login in New Window. (The following figure shows the extension for Chrome.)
